Familium Vulgare is a play about a Taiwanese American family--a Buddhist scholar, an amateur filmmaker, and a budding entomologist--navigating the rough waters of life after an unexpected death. It's also about the individual rituals we create for ourselves, and the power of the collective ritual.
Familium Vulgare was invited to participate in the National Asian American Theater Conference & Festival, Oct. 2014
The play was featured in the festival's reading series; dir. by Sarah Mitteldorf, featuring Justin Jain, Dan Kim, Bi Jean Ngo, & Stephanie Walters.
